Vietnam and China are two neighbouring countries with their mountains and rivers embracing one another. Moreover, Guangzhou has a close and long-standing relationship with provinces of Vietnam in political, economic and cultural areas. The city of Guangzhou once served as the “cradle” for the Vietnamese revolution and it is where you can find the tomb of the renowned martyr Pham Hong Thai and the historical monument of “Association of Revolutionary Young Comrades” founded by President Ho Chi Minh during the period of 1924-1927.. The Guangdong market, especially the annual Spring and Autumn Import-Export Trade Fairs of China, has been attracting many Vietnamese businesses for business and investment opportunities. After 1992 (in 1993 or in 2007?), the Vietnamese Consulate General was reopened. It has practically presented itselfas a bridge to connect Vietnam with China, contributing to the enhancement of mutual understanding and development of both countries.
